Awamu Biomass Energy is a social enterprise that aims at solving the problem in inefficient cooking among poor households in Uganda. We have products that are designed for under-served communities i.e. rural and peri-urban communities and those tailored for urban settings in Uganda.

To accelerate access to affordable clean energy among deprived households while creating employment and reducing cooking emissions.

Our Vision

To grow as a dynamic, innovative and market-driven domestic manufacturer of clean cooking solutions.

Our Core Values

Our Goal: Awamu is focused on developing low cost, high quality and efficient clean energy products for peri-urban and rural households that help them utilize energy in a sustainable manner and therefore increase their resilience to effects of climate change.
